Plan the road and ferry before you plan the island day.

From KL: bus or car to Mersing / Tanjung Gemok, then ferry to Tioman. From Singapore: travel via Johor Bahru / Mersing, then ferry. Always check ferry time, tide and weather before locking your plan.

From Kuala Lumpur

Most guests travel by car or bus to Mersing or Tanjung Gemok, then continue by ferry to Tioman. Travel time depends on traffic, ferry time and sea condition.

From Singapore or Johor Bahru

The common route is Singapore → Johor Bahru → Mersing ferry terminal → Tioman. Leave buffer time for immigration, traffic and ferry check-in.

Before you confirm your travel plan

Do not treat ferry timing like a city train. Check the latest ferry schedule, tide and weather first. If you are staying near Berjaya, Blue Tio is about one minute from the entrance.

  • Confirm ferry date and terminal.
  • Keep one buffer window if possible.
  • Ask local help if your arrival is tight.
Ferry schedules change by date and sea condition. Confirm the latest time before travel.
